History

Our grandparents, Thomas Sr. and Mysie (Nahale) Duarte, have instilled life long lessons within each of us.  Their work ethic, faith, generosity, and love of family have endured above all through the last two generations of our ʻohana. Grandpa did not judge a person by looks, wealth or status, but instead by how hard they worked. What started as a fencing contract for Kamehamaha Schools in the 1950s has endowed our family with this unique connection to Hualālai. It is our kuleana to ensure their legacy continues for our children to share the resources of this wahi pana (sacred place) with others.
